Cloghaun is a large Victorian home located on Market Street, one block from the harbor and close to many fine restaurants, shops and riding stables. All boat docks are within easy walking distance.

Eleven guestrooms individually designed and decorated with antiques from the late 1800’s evoke a feeling of casual elegance. One guestroom has a private entrance, two have private balconies. A deluxe continental breakfast is served in the breakfast room 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., and tea is served in the afternoon. The Kelton Library has many fine old classics for you to curl up and enjoy, or if you wish, watch television or a video from the assortment provided. The front porch is a favorite gathering spot to sit and listen to the clip-clopping of the horses going by.

10. If you are a history buff, Fort Mackinac is a must see. Plan on spending an hour roaming the grounds and buildings.
9. Make a trip up to the East and West Bluff and over to the Annex. The old homes are magnificent and the views of the bridge and the Straits of Mackinac are breathtaking.
8. Explore the Grand Hotel grounds. It is one of the oldest hotels in the country and is two years younger than Cloghaun.
7. Visit Stonecliff and find Sunset Rock. The peaceful setting will lower any stress level. Don’t forget to visit Michigan's oldest bowling alley at the Woods!
6. Ride your bike around the Island stopping at Arch Rock, the nature trails, British Landing and Browns Brook. Swimming along the way is an option for the hearty. Or bike the North Bicycle Trail, especially in the spring and fall!
5. For the golfer, play the Grand Jewel or the course at Wawashkimo.
4. Stroll along the boardwalk at sunset. It doesn’t get any better.

Check-In is at 3:00 p.m.; Check-Out is at 10:00 a.m. Luggage can be stored for early arrivals and late departures and guests are welcome to enjoy the common areas and grounds.

A minimum of one night’s lodging is required for deposit, with the balance due at check-in. Visa and Mastercard are accepted (as well as personal checks, money orders, or cash). If cancellation is made at least 10 days prior to the first night’s stay, a refund will be made, less $15 service charge. Without a ten day notice, or if the guest arrives after the first night of the reservation, the deposit will be forfeited and any subsequent nights cancelled unless notification is received to hold the room. Children over the age of two years are welcome, but must be kept under supervision for their own safety and to respect the privacy of others.
