A Victorian Inn on California's Mendocino Coast. The Weller House Inn, built in 1886 is the only house on the Mendocino Coast listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. It has been carefully restored as a luxury bed and breakfast including sumptuous Victorian guestrooms, English gardens, and a reconstruction of the historic water tower, the tallest point in Fort Bragg.
The Weller House Inn was built in 1886 and is Fort Bragg's most historic building. It is the city's sole residence on the National Register of Historic Places. When Ted and Eva Kidwell bought it in 1996 they took on a complete restoration and renovation project, including reconstruction of the historic water tower, the tallest point in Fort Bragg. Guests can ascend it for whale watching, or for a commanding view of the ocean, town, and mountains. The Weller House Inn opened to the public in the summer of 1998. |
